Snotty

Can you remember the last time you heard someone call someone else, “Snotty?”  I think I remember a couple of my grandparents using the term at times years ago, but I will need Mr. Peabody to show up with his way-back machine to be absolutely sure of it.  In any event, it has been a while since I last heard it.  Just who decides when terms come in and go out of fashion—anyway?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have a point, and I am getting to it.  “Snotty” popped into my head after reading where that cat lady called me a vulgar name while getting madder and madder (in every sense of the word) over me not moving quickly enough to take down a picture of her cat, which I had used in the hope of helping to call attention to a site she was a part of.

Yeah, I really need to just let it go, and I am going to…right after I make another point, which is that the really great people I have been blessed with meeting out here in the blogosphere so far make having to endure the likes of the mad cat lady more than worth it.

So, I have decided to exercise my womanly prerogative to change my mind already and have another Arlynda Lea’s Sites to See coming soon (like, maybe tomorrow) to a screen near you.  I cannot hope to find any better friends than I already have in Ann, Lee, ScyllaTaffy and Tootsie, but I’ll take all of them I can get.  Now, this is not to say that the others, who have been friendly toward me since I started this blogging adventure, are in any way not as good as Ann, Lee, Taffy and Tootsie, but those four went out of their way to try to pick me up when I was feeling really down.  Yeah, our Heavenly Father really is good, and He often lets His Light shine on me through others when I am in desperate need of Him to.  Thank you again, Ann, Lee, Scylla, Taffy and Tootsie!

CYA,
Arlynda

  1. Lately the word snotty has popped into my head quite a bit. I have a 3 month old puppy you see, and I've been over thinking the word brat. LOL

    1. Oh Lynn, that is too funny! It also brought to mind the times when our Trixie has sneezed hard enough to bang her nose on the carpet. It didn't seem to bother her a bit, but it sure has made me wince!

    1. No, Mr. Adullamite, I don't think anyone would want to see that!

  3. I still use that word, but then I'm old.....:)

Good on you for not letting one person mess up your blog! If they didn't want others to see it they shouldn't have put it out there in cyberspace.

    1. Thank you for being so supportive, Bettyl! It was explained to me that she is a person, who really doesn't see a difference between publishing a linked copy of an image in the hope of helping them and outright stealing it. All they know is that the automatic copyright law contains no exceptions. So, neither do they.

  4. You're more than welcome, Arlynda.

I think...no...I believe...you were unfairly, rudely abused. There was absolutely no reason for that woman to go off at you the way she did.

For Heaven's sake...there are more than enough crazy things going on in this world of ours today without someone giving you an unnecessary blast about a photo of a cat...particularly when your intentions were good!

Such a silly pointless reaction like the one you received is way beyond my comprehension. And people wonder why I choose to live a fairly reclusive lifestyle! ;)

    1. You have been such an awesome friend to me, Lee. Is this on account of you being an Aussie? LOL?

  5. Not only have I used the word snotty but I've even acted snotty on more than one occasion. That's my prerogative to act that way if I choose...lol
Thanks for the mention and may I say you are very welcome. It's been a pleasure reading your blog

    1. After I told Jerry about your wonderful comment here, Ann, he said that you will be wanting a bigger bribe. Now, he's snotty!

  6. We are so very sorry you got hissed at, and when you didn't feel well. We are sending healing purrs to you and hopes you feel better soon. We are very pleased you changed your mind.

We are not sure why you got hissed at as you didn't claim the work as your own and linked back to our blog. To us that is acceptable and we were very pleased to have The Ladies of Autumn included in your sites to see. Thanks for changing it to Scylla's picture to preserve the peace.

    1. Again, I do not have the words to express just how much you and Scylla's love and support means to me. Oh, and I just added Scylla's name to the special honor roll with Ann, Lee, Taffy and Tootsie. I wish you two could get through to the mad cat lady that we were not trying to steal her stuff, and stop saying nasty thing to others about us.

  7. I blog (not regularly though) about my two kitties Lily Le Mew and Jan. Lily is a member of the Ladies of Autumn. First, I want to say thank you for including TLOA blog on your sites to see. Second, I am so sorry for how badly you were treated. I hope one "snotty" person doesn't ruin it for you.

    1. Thank you for being so supportive, Christine. Since I do not want "her" to accuse me (or my husband) of stalking her again, I will wait for some time to pass before I start leaving comments on your main site. With my very poor health, there is often much of what I want to do that I just don't have the strength to. So, it may not be a regular thing, but my big mouth still works quite well from time to time! LOL?
