After
getting my rear reamed out real good by a mad cat lady, who did not appreciate
me using one of her pictures to call attention to a site she was a part of, I
have decided that I really don’t need the aggravation right now. Hey, it was Jerry’s idea to include me in the
“fun” to begin with. So, he should
receive ALL of the “fun” he can stand—right?
Now, I reserve the right to exercise my womanly prerogative and change
my mind when I feel more like it, but that may take a while. He has suggested that I could publish a
series in November that would include the sites he had in his upcoming Thinking
of Christmas Gifts in July 2014 series, as well as any new sites that were
discovered during the time between the two, and I think I kinda like that
idea. After all, how much trouble could
I get into by re-publishing images of items the owners want to sell?
CYA,
Arlynda
Some people are pretty touchy about their pictures but it seems harmless to me to post one that includes a link to their site. It wasn't like you used the picture claiming it was yours,
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of work involved doing one of those posts and I can see how one angry person could dampen your enthusiasm for doing it
Thank you for being so encouraging, Ann. It is friends like you that make me want to keep trying. I hope Duke gives you a puppy-kiss or two from me.
DeleteHow incredibly rude of that person...so unnecessarily rude and not called for! Don't let it upset you, Arlynda. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for being such a great friend, Lee. One would think that I would be tougher after having to put up with Jerry all of these years. LOL?
DeleteWe're sorry about the mad cat lady being so mean. It was unnecessary! Those posts take such a lot of work, and you did a nice thing with good intentions.

Tootsie
Are you a search and rescue puppy, Tootsie? You sure have come to my aid, and you should get all of the treats you can eat! By the way, it has been explained to me that she really doesn't know the difference between someone trying to do something nice for her and someone doing something untoward (I learned that word from watching Judge Judy!).
DeleteMy philosophy is this: If you don't want anybody but you to use it, DON'T PUT IT ON THE INTERNET! I don't understand people like that.
ReplyDeleteEven the blogs with no right click allowed, I am not a computer whiz, but I can still steal their stuff if I wanted to!
We won't include an image from a site that has it clearly (and personally) posted that they do not want anyone to copy their images, but the mad cat lady did not have anything like that. In fact, the image was taken from a site that she is a contributor to, and the actual owner of the site (I think) had left a comment around a week before that thanked me for including the site! So, it came as a complete shock when the mad cat lady pounced.
