Good Morning,
Hope everyone are planning on having a great Super Bowl Sunday—perhaps
even do a little partying? We will be
staying home out of the wet cold (like we had so many invites). Considering this winter, I’m very thankful we
don’t have 3 feet of snow (or more) and our electricity, gas and other items
that have spoiled us rotten are still spoiling us rotten. Just a few hours of
no electricity really did about drive us insane this last time it went out.
Now, back to the Super Bowl!
We really don’t care who wins. Jerry
is waiting for the Cowboys to make a comeback, and well, I can’t narrow it down
to just one team as my favorite. I like
several, including the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens
and Kansas City Chiefs. So, since none
of our teams are in this year, we’ll be cheering for offense, and if the score
is 77 to 70, we will be really happy. :-)
Tomorrow is Groundhog Day, and around here, he almost always sees
his shadow. So, I don’t imagine we’ll
see spring until after it has sprung.
I really don’t have much to say.
I’m trying to keep from having an intense pity party for myself. I know that can (and probably will) bring on
another bout of the blues. My latest
round of doctor appointments start again this week. Then another one the week after while saving
the best for in March, which includes another MRI, and another trip to St.
Louis. Gotta luv it !!!
CYA,
Arlynda
I didn't even watch the super bowl. Wade did and he called me away from the computer when the half time show came on. I wasn't even impressed with that. I only watched about 2 minutes of it
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Ann. We watched the entire game, which has become a kind of tradition for us. Neither one of us wanted to watch the half-time show. Jerry likes some of Lenny Kravitz's songs, but it quickly became clear that he was just there to back up Katy Perry. We were generally disappointed with the commercials this year. There were a couple that we really enjoyed, but we could have completely done without most of the rest. Was Wade happy with the Patriots winning? We were, but it would have not been a great tragedy if the Seahawks had of won.
ReplyDeleteThrowball! Pah!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Adullamite. Our cats don't like it when I throw things at them, neither.
DeleteHi Arlynda...sorry it's taken me so long to call by. I watched the Super Bowl, too...I always do. I was going for Seattle...only because I had a young fellow from Bellingham (not far from Seattle) work for me for a while when I was managing the resort on Hinchinbrook Island. I really didn't care who won, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope all went well with your doctors' appointments...and I hope all is well with you and Jerry. My best wishes to you both. :)
Thanks for stopping by, Lee. My sister and her husband lived in Bellingham while he was stationed at the naval base near there. Jerry's son, Calvin, lives in Burlington, which I think is around 20 miles south of Bellingham. So, I suppose it really is a small world, after all. I have to go see my dermatologist tomorrow to confirm that my skin cancer really is all gone. I think he is the last doctor I have to go see for awhile. I hope you and your kitties have been enjoying your summer.
